A: We work both in the metropolitan Boston and Albany areas.
Q: Are you licensed and insured?
A: In Massachusetts: We hold a Construction Supervisor's License, are a
registered Home Improvement Contractor, and carry liability insurance.
In New York: There is no state-wide licensing for general contractors or carpentry.
We carry all insurance required by the state and the municipalities in which we work.
Q: Do you give free estimates?
A: For many small and straight-forward projects, yes, we do. For larger
projects such as an addition, a large remodel, or a new kitchen, we generally work up a
preliminary, or rough, estimate after our initial meeting. At that point, we
then work with you to get the results you are looking for within your budget.
Q: Do you take credit cards?
A: We accept cash or checks only. Sorry, no credit cards.
Q: Do you have references we can talk to?
A: We would be happy to have you talk with some of our former clients. On
occasion, we will even arrange for clients to come and walk through previous projects
and meet the homeowners.
